How to setup 2FA for Mercury account?

Step-by-step guide to setting up two-factor authentication on Mercury using an authenticator app.

Before we start, download and install the Authenticator App from your device's App Store.

To setup 2FA for your Mercury account with our Authenticator App, you need to follow the next steps:

Log in to your Mercury account from a desktop or laptop. If you’ve just opened your account, locate "Set-up two factor authentication" in your new user checklist to find your setup instructions.

Open the Authenticator App on your device and follow the prompts provided. You may need to set up a separate account with them, depending on the app.

In your Mercury setup instructions, go to the "Third-party app" tab, then scan the QR code with your Authenticator App.

Open our Authenticator App, click the + button at the bottom right of the screen, then hold your device near the computer screen to scan the QR code.

After successfully scanning, a 6-digit code will be shown at the bottom of the screen. Please note that this code refreshes every 30 seconds.

Return to the Mercury setup instructions on your computer, and enter the 6-digit code generated by the Authenticator App.

Remember to click "Save" in the Authenticator App to save your account, or you may lose access to your account!

Complete the setup process by following any remaining prompts on the Mercury website.
