How to setup 2FA for Mail.com account?

Step-by-step guide to setting up two-factor authentication on Mail.com using an authenticator app.

Download Authenticator App

Before we start, download and install the Authenticator App from your device's App Store.

To setup 2FA for your Mail.com account with our Authenticator App, you need to follow the next steps:

Log in to your account on the Mail.com website, click Account at the top right corner.

On the left side, click Security Options.

Under Two-factor authentication, click on Activate two-factor authentication.

Click on Start setup now.

To begin the configuration of two-factor authentication, enter your password for your email address and click on Start now.

Verify your mobile phone number, then click on Request SMS.

Enter the confirmation code from the SMS and click on Continue.

Open your Authenticator App and scan the QR code using the app.

After successfully scanning, a 6-digit code will be shown at the bottom of the screen. Please note that this code refreshes every 30 seconds.

Return to the Mail.com webpage, enter the 6-digit code displayed in step 9, and then click on Continue.

For emergency access to your mailbox, you will receive a secret key, which you can download by clicking on Save your secret key.

Check your personal information and click on Next.

Remember to click "Save" in the Authenticator App to save your account, or you may lose access to your account!
